FOREST AND OCEAN GALLERY

LAGUNA BEACH, CA

Formerly a popular video rental store in Laguna Beach (see before and after images below), the building was completely renovated and given a new face to the public, re-imagined as an art gallery.

The gallery sits on a busy corner in downtown Laguna Beach, and enjoys a great deal of traffic. The windows were made as large as possible for viewing of art from the outside, and the solid elements were treated as sculpture. The roughly framed roof structure of the old building was exposed and painted white, and the partitions for displaying art are freestanding to allow flexibility in display arrangements. Natural light enters through existing skylights.

The owner of the gallery, Mr. Ludo Leideritz, is a performing arts enthusiast, and a board member of the Southern California Philharmonic Orchestra. He frequently hosts musical events in the gallery.  Please visit the Forest and Ocean Gallery's website
